East Balt started operations in Chicago and has expanded U.S. operations to the upper Midwest and the Great Plains. But we didn’t stop there; East Balt operates both wholly-owned bakeries and jointly-owned facilities around the world that utilize East Balt production methods. We ensure each location is outfitted with both a modern facility and baking expertise to create a platform for customer and East Balt long-term success.  

Internationally, East Balt is firmly situated in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. East Balt’s bakeries – both wholly owned and joint ventures – in France, Italy, Switzerland, Russia and the Ukraine, service much of Europe. And a new bakery in southern France is opening in 2010 to assist in the growing demand of the region.  

East Balt operates bakeries in Japan and South Korea that supply a number of customers. East Balt’s China operation is one of its busiest, with five bakeries, and we are currently looking at expansion opportunities.  
The company has seen some of its most exciting growth in Asia, where it has been operating for more than 15 years.  

The Middle East and Africa are both dynamic areas with great restaurant and bakery growth potential. The company operates bakeries in Turkey, South Africa and Morocco that serve a rapidly developing business base.
